Welcome!

Welcome to the 29-Day Web 2.0 Challenge. This blog is part of our “Leap Into Digital Learning” initiative, celebrating National Digital Learning Day  (February 1, 2012). The idea for this amazing resource project comes from the Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation’s iCATS’ 30-Day Challenge. We want to thank the iCATS for partnering with us to provide excellent web tools for all educators! You will see many of the iCATS’ blog posts during the 29 days along with other educational partners who have joined us for Digital Learning Month. Look for the blog author noted on each post. Each day in the month of February we will blog about a web 2.0 tool, a digital resource, or educational/productivity apps. We encourage you to read each blog entry and think about how the resource can help you enhance student learning or better do your job. Please share your plans in the comments section of the blog entry. If you are already using the tool please share how you are using it and how successful it has been in your classroom. We’re looking forward to a fabulous month of digital learning!

  4. What about digital learning connections using the (CILC) Center of Interactive Learning and Collaboration site that allows you to interact with other classrooms to share ideas and information. I have been interacting with Pre-K classrooms from around the country sharing ideas and information. The site also offers different types of content that could amp up any curriculum.

  6. We are happy to participate in this Web 2.0 Challenge and Digital Learning Day. We plan to celebrate the things we have been doing for some time. On Digital Learning Day, my 4th graders are hosting an open classroom for parents, students and teachers. They will be demonstrating their use of Sumdog Math, an international math competition, Kidbiz3000, a reading and writing program, their fake Facebook pages telling about Famous Hoosiers, Wordle to create word clouds of their growing vocabularies, and their new blog, http://harrisonhuskies.blogspot.com The students will also Skype to meet with some of their international learning partners and Tweet about their learning throughout the day and the weeks to come. Follow us on Twitter, @g4harrison. I am on Twitter as @g4husky. If you wish to Skype into our classroom for a visit or know more about our Facebook groups, please email me at rglass@warsaw.k12.in.us.

  7. Our high school Manufacturing Technology classes are involved in using several multi-engaging media formats to learn the concepts and skills of the course. They are also involved in simulations and real-life skills while working through this course. Big thanks for Amatrol Inc., EcO15, DreamIt DoIt, Manufacturing Skill Standards and Conexus Indiana.
I would like to see our school move to iPads to replace textbooks. Maybe soon.
